This Inauguration Day, Women in Foreign Policy and Middle East Collective is launching a new partnership to support the work of Muslim-American and Middle Eastern-American women in the United States. Every month, on the anniversary of Donald Trump’s accessing the White House, we will feature an exclusive interview with a progressive woman working in foreign policy.
The Middle East Collective (MEC) is an initiative which promotes the understanding of the Middle East and North Africa region and tolerance of Islam, while embracing Muslim communities in the Western world. The MEC also works to bolster the bridge between Muslims and Non-Muslims. (more…)
The American Congress has not been supportive of the Iran Deal and pursuing good relations in the MENA has not been a high priority on their to-do list. On August 12, 2015 Congress almost silently passed the dangerously racist Visa Waiver Program Improvement and Terrorist Travel Prevention Act of 2015, also referred to as the HR158 bill.
